Place the camera where it can remain stable and include the action you want to review. Avoid frequent reframing during a point. Respect the venue’s rules and keep equipment clear of play.
Check the near and far parts of the court in your preview. If the footage is meant for technique review, make sure the player is large enough in the frame to show useful detail.
Keep usable sound
RallyTrim detects hits and rally sections. Heavy music, wind or nearby courts can make the source harder to interpret. Check the recording’s sound before filming a long session.
Do not assume a silent or distant recording will perform like a clear close recording. Detection results should always be reviewed.
Run a short trial
- Record a short sample containing a few points and the pauses between them.
- Import that sample into RallyTrim and analyze it.
- Compare the detected sections with what actually happened in the sample.
- Adjust the camera position or recording setup if needed, then repeat before committing to a full session.
Plan for a longer session
- Battery and free storage are sufficient.
- The camera position is stable and permitted by the venue.
- The original recording will remain available after export.
- You will review detections rather than relying on an unverified accuracy percentage.
