Begin with the original photo

Use the camera original when possible. A screenshot or a copy received through another app may have fewer shooting details. In Apple Photos, open the photo and view its information to check what the library knows about that item.

The Colorvia frame reads available source metadata. Photos and Live Photos can supply camera model, date, focal length, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The available information depends on the file.

Create the frame in Color Story

  1. Choose Color Story and import the photo.
  2. Open Frame and select the camera-info, brand-signature or editorial-signature style for the result you want.
  3. Review the brand, model and signature. Choose automatic source-brand selection when you want the frame to follow the imported file.
  4. Show or hide the date and shooting details, then adjust frame color and width.
  5. Inspect the full composition at a readable size. Export and check the saved result for cropped text or an unexpected border.

Keep the displayed information accurate

Review manually editable model and signature text before sharing. Automatic brand selection follows available source information, with Colorvia as the fallback when device information is missing.

Missing exposure fields are omitted. If you need the original shooting details, locate the original file and import it again. A visible camera label should match the source you are presenting.

Check composition and motion

The frame surrounds the complete Color Story composition, including its color panel and text. Adding an outer border changes the final aspect ratio, so check the exported shape when preparing a social post.

For moving media, review both the cover and playback. Choose a shorter signature if it is clipped, and inspect the export in the receiving app. One-tap enhancement in Color Story can be toggled while you compare the media preview.
